I'm Aussie and damn proud of it! But I have the feisty temper of a Serbian (dangerous mix according to my family)! I got into anime because of Sailor Moon, like most young girls, and never looked back.
I'm in a bit of a drawing slump at the moment, but I love fanfic writing even though I don't share it.
(Note to self... do not type whilst drunk or stoned...!)
(**Note to Others reading this: Watch AMVs whilst drunks... it's really trippy! And even more colourful experience is listening to music on Windows Media Player and watching the visualizations...)

I give praise and constructive criticism where I think it is due. I never ever go to another deviant's page and abuse them or their works. Is it too much to ask for that in return?

If you're just going to write stupid, baseless and idiotic comments on my page, without proof, such as in actually witnessing me drawing, then please don't even bother as it will be spammed and you will be blocked.

I'm not asking much, just for the same respect I show the rest of the deviant community.

I don't see why I'm being singled out you simple minded twit. We all have a right to display anything we've drawn - yes drawn, I didn't trace a thing, and I know I don't trace, I have a very good eye, as can be attested by many of my friends, regardless of what your graphics program says, so stick that up your arse!
And btw, all anime/manga/tv/movie/book characters are copyrighted and trademarked, so by your assumption everyone who draws fanart is in violation and we all have the chance of being sued!

They're copyrighted and trademarked to not be used for profitable purposes, not to be drawn in one's own style.

However, judging by your journal entry, you basically admitted that you copy/trace images as replication has the same definition as copying and tracing.

I have a very good eye too, I also have photoshop CS4 where I can take your "drawn" images, such as the 'sleeping image' which has to be the most POPULAR image in the Salior Moon franchise, screened it over, cut YOUR 'drawing' up...and perfect match in face, hair and arms. Having drawn since I was a young girl I do know that we all start off tracing, you just take it to the next level and claim Toriyama and Takeuchi's drawings as your own.

Tell me, if you don't trace your drawings, then how the fuck does your style change with every deviation? Impossible to change overnight, just saying.

I'm simply telling you that what you are doing is wrong and I'm not the only one who knows. And this woman has a life, thankyou very much. I at least don't claim artwork that isn't drawn by my hand, much less a bezel tool in MSPaint and OpenCanvas.

Whats your problem are you just jealous of this persons work or do you just feel like being a b**** today? How would you have any idea that someone is tracing something unless you are sitting there watching them. What does your stupid photo shop program know; i use it to make PHOTOS look nice hence the name PHOTOshop. It just so happens that I know this girl personally and I have known her since she started DRAWING! She is the one that actually taught me how to draw and as I've seen of your fanart maybe you should invest in some trace paper!!!

Just because you know her, doesn't mean she isn't in the wrong. Photoshop is a graphics program, used to create or manipulate images. It always has been. I've drawn on photoshop for the last two years. Does this mean that because a software like Open Canvas is also such, it should be used as called? Do you want me to pull out my painter's palette and paint directly on my monitor?

Photoshop can layer many images over, which is how I caught wind of your friends 'artistic talent' ie: tracing.

and At least I'll admit that they're misproportioned and shaded horribly, but at least I can draw without carbon paper.

Right... so lets get this straight, you think that just because it's exactly the same (or your little program told you so) that it's traced?
So, a legitimate art forger (like however faked the Rembrant found in Australia), traced the original work did they? (and I'm not comparing my friend to an art forger, whatever your derranged mind thinks)

Get a clue, or better yet, get some talent and then you maybe you can criticize

You can fricken tell the difference between normal paper and carbon paper you bloody idiot! And don't tell me what I do and don't do! I know what I do - I DRAW! Regardless of what you say about your program, I DREW IT line by line. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL! Why don't you go back under the rock you crawled from and get a life, because clearly, you spend too much time abusing people instead of learning how to draw!
